May named Preseason All-American
I'm a little surprised that
Sean May was named Preseason All-American by Playboy. He had a decent year last year, but I think most people would agree that it was below expectations (which may have not been realistic to begin with). Let's hope he comes out swinging this year. He unquestionably has the talent, he just needs to be more assertive on the court. From what I gather from his work on the USA team this summer, he is making good progress.
They also have Julius Hodge in the top 10. Come on, how much longer will McCants continue to be overshadowed by that backyard street baller?? Even though McCants had his share of issues last year, he led the ACC in scoring (which was no small feat) and helped lead UNC to two victories over NCSU. Yet Hodge gets the ACC POY award last year. Well I'd take McCants anyday on the playground (actually I play at the YMCA in Raleigh)...
