InsideCarolina.com: Copeland: 'It's a Done Deal'
On a brighter note, it looks like we may be close to
signing 6'8'' forward Mike Copeland out of Winston-Salem. Copeland was yet unsigned mainly due to a grades issue. He has been taking some classes this summer to get his GPA up. According to
this report Copeland feels confident he will be in Carolina blue next Fall.
A quote from the article sheds a little more light on the prospect:
"Copeland averaged nearly a double-double (17.8 points, 9.1 rebounds) per outing in his senior campaign, after which he earned Player of the Year honors for the Central Piedmont 4A Conference, and was selected to the All-Northwest N.C. team. Copeland was named to the All-State Second Team by two separate outlets - the Associated Press and NCPrepReport.com."
Just based on his stats and reputation he's not going to have instant impact, but we can use all the help we can get next year.
