Coach K(ommercial) is at it again thanks to Chevy
Last year during March Madness we had to sit through the innumerable airings of the Coach K commercial. It was the "I want you armed for life" AMEX commercial that could have doubled for an ad from the Duke Athletic department. Just when we thought the misery was behind us, now Chevy is airing very similar commercials this year.
Questions to ponder:
Did Chevy not read all the negative press last year about the Coach K commercial? Do you know of any other college coach that would do these kinds of smarmy commercials, especially during March Madness when so many college fans from around the country are watching? Does Coach K really think this is good for his already battered image? Does he need the money? If so, let's start a Coach K charity fund. I would certainly pay not to see anymore of his commercials.
