UNC Fans have spoken and CBS has not listened: More Packer on Friday
In this article, Billy Packer defends his comments about the Henderson incident. I'm not even going to comment on that.
However, I will comment on this little tidbit:
Packer's on-air comments riled some North Carolina fans. "I don't care about that," he said. "This is just one man's opinion. If someone doesn't like it, that's OK."
He will be seeing the Tar Heels again soon. Packer said he has been assigned to broadcast three games at the ACC tournament - two Thursday and North Carolina's first-round game at noon Friday.
Oh great, more Packer on Friday.
CBS must not monitor the blogosphere or else they would have seen the flood of comments over the last few days on this blog and others regarding Packer's sensitivity to Henderson and lack of sensitivity to Hansbrough.
The trick will be to see if it is possible to align the recording of the game (via DVR) with Woody Durham's radio delay broadcast. Woody's a much better announcer anyway!
