Welcome to the UNC Bandwagon   In a recent Harris Poll, UNC was voted the most popular team in the nation! Surprisingly, Duke had been the top team for the past 4 years. Now they are #2. The Harris Poll had a total of a mere 565 college basketball fans participate (i.e. approx 22 per top 25 school!). Out of a population of approximately 300 million people, the survey sample included 2,223 adults and only 24% of them (565) follow college basketball! The published Harris Report also indicates that they have not provided a margin-of-error for the stats (i.e. the results are statistically insignificant.) Flipside: UNC basketball hurts the economy more than any Div I school - 41% of people believe that the NCAA Tournament causes productivity at work to suffer.
