Worst half of the season   Great timing to have our worst (and lowest scoring) half of the year in the Final Four. Kansas made us look like we were walking out there. We went 9 minutes without a field goal. That's almost half of the half!! We finally got our act together toward the end of the half, but do we have any chance coming back from being down 17?? Kansas was totally unstoppable, and let's hope they don't have that much energy in the second half. Regardless, someone on our side has to make a shot. Come on Wayne!! When he had it to withing 5 at 58-53, he got greedy and kept trying to play Carolina b-ball instead of calling timeouts and grinding it out. This team has shown it can shut down teams on D in the clutch but Roy ignored that and kept playing and now its out of hand. 73-61 right now. It's too late. # posted by  Anonymous : 10:56 PM   I hate to bring it up again, but Roy blew this. We got back into the game by slowing it down and playing great D and in the half court on offense. But then when it got to within 5, for some reason he stops and goes right back to playing like they did in the 1st half. Calling timeouts and drawing up plays for Wayne or Tyler would've pulled it to within a possession and it would've become a game of defense, which the Heels have shown they can dominate, like against Duke and Louisville. Also, this team clearly needs more shooters. Wayne is the only guy who can consistently deliver. Give credit to Kansas for playing a great game and having a great game plan. I don't mind a loss to a good team, but this loss hurts. They forced their will on us and we had to play their game... leading to a lopsided game. The team lost focus in the game with all the media coverage and glitter around them. He made the call that the game was over with 7 minutes left in the FIRST half! Much love Heels. # posted by  Anonymous : 11:50 PM   No, most of the game wasn't fun to watch but man oh man I believed these guys were going to pull off the greatest come back ever to win. They showed the true colors of courage, commitment and a never give up spirit that defines Carolina basketball. But, falling short of winning, the team - players, coaches, managers - made me so proud to wear my Carolina blue. I'm sorry that I can't pull for them on Monday, but I'm feel sorrier for people who complain about the game, the coach and team after such a great season. I watched Tyler's comments after the game and he showed such class answering tough questions with honesty and integrity and heart. You knew how much he hurt from this loss but he answered the questions like the man he is. And please, would you give it up about time outs. The team looked flat, it was like looking at a NBA team that dont care if they win or lose. Ty and Wayne are players that can win a title, what kind of comment was that? Sounds like a hater not a fan of the light blue!! Kansas played a heck of a game and just beat us thats it. And the comment about billy pecker could not be more true, you can tell he is a CAROLINA hater. I really dont like it when he has a Carolina game. I really hate that the season is over and this group of guys didnt win the National Title, would have been nice to see it happen.
