UNC Stat of the Day:

Alex Stepheson to transfer
If you'll recall earlier in the year, Alex Stepheson had to miss a couple of games while he attended to his father in California who was sick. Apparently there are still some health issues in his family and he is transferring to be closer to home. I feel for Alex! He is a solid player and has a lot of potential to get better. I wish him the best.

I'm sure the health thing with his Dad played a role, but ...

I also have to think this played a role ... 7 minutes and 9 minutes in the last 2 games of the year? When he'd been averaging close to 20? I still can't figure that one out ...

I know he was pretty awful in the 7 he played against Kansas (who wasn't?), but it was only 7 minutes, and I seem to recall something about having a problem with Kansas throwing over the top?

Growing success in the 2nd half of the year, playing a solid 20 mins a gam. And then your year ends like that, with you on the bench, but for a sorry couple of minutes that the coach won't let you go out and try to make up for.

He may not be required to sit out a year as most transfers do:

Looks like Roy expects at least one guy to leave as you can see by the NC newspaper article below. We can speculate but based on the mock drafts, I'd say it's probably Lawson.
